My Students

Our school is a Title I public school in Gulfport, MS that serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

As an English teacher, I have a passion for reading and believe that it is crucial to foster a love for reading and learning in the classroom.

My students need exposure to a variety of books of different genres to broaden their interest in reading. My students will have full access to these books from our own classroom library and will be able to "check them out," take them home, or even read them in class.

My Project

My classroom library is a place that my students truly enjoy. Your generous donation to our project will improve our sixth grade classroom by building stronger readers. These books will change our students' lives for the better because they will have exposure to different genres, authors, and writing styles. They will be able to immerse themselves in these books and improve their reading interest and skills.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
