My students bring such joy to my life and I am thankful to be their teacher. We seriously have some of the best students in our small town elementary school. I know that every school and every teacher says that, but I know just how amazing our students are.
We are over 60% free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents, and staff work together to get everything we need.
I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
In the past years I've purchased and had wonderful donors donate sets of Breakout EDU boxes and locks. My students have instantly fell in love with the activities and beg to do it more often.
Students love excitement in the classroom.
They want to learn in a creative and intense way.
These Breakout EDU activities involve critical thinking activities that will have my students using physical, social and tactile methods to solve problems, rather than completely relying on technology or paper and pencil. These activities will get them up and moving and collaborating together to solve the clues.
For each activity we can link every clue to exactly what we are learning in all subject areas. Students will take what they learn and apply it in so many more areas of their learning. Students can learn about nouns and verbs through clues and then use what they learn to write a beautiful story. Students can discover clues about our presidents and then use that information to complete their fact lap books and write beautiful biographies about those presidents. Students can search artwork for clues and then apply it to what they are learning in math. The possibilities with Breakout EDU are endless. My favorite part is the students can eventually help design these projects. Many of the breakouts include puzzles and hidden pictures. This would be great for students!
I've included many four letter locks, 2 additional hasps, and a TeachersPayTeachers gift card to use to purchase math and ELA puzzles to use with our Breakout EDU kits.
