This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Lock boxes are an excellent tool to enhance classroom escape rooms by adding an element of realism and excitement. They create an engaging challenge where students must work collaboratively to decipher clues, solve puzzles, or complete tasks to unlock the next stage of the game. By incorporating different types of locks—such as combination locks, key locks, or directional locks—students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they strategize how to access the box's contents. This hands-on interaction also encourages teamwork, communication, and perseverance, as students must rely on one another’s strengths to progress.
The anticipation of opening a lock box adds an element of suspense and motivation, keeping students engaged throughout the activity.
By using lock boxes, educators can create dynamic, interactive learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving in a way that feels like an adventure rather than a traditional lesson.
