Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the distinct pleasure of teaching in one of the most diverse areas. Las Vegas is home to people from all over the United States and from all over the world. I have the pleasure of teaching students that struggle the most in math. Despite their struggles with math, my students are highly creative and resourceful. I look forward to working with them every day as each day is a new adventure.
My Project
In order to meet the demands of my creative students, I wish to set up an escape room to help my students learn. My classroom is set up for group learning (9 groups). Each group of students would be given 1 box with multiple different types of locks on the box. The students would be given different tasks for each lock on the box. If the students complete the task successfully then they will be able to remove a lock. The lock combinations can be reset so this activity can be used many times over.
