Ergonomic Learning

My Students

The students in my classroom are second and third grade special need students.

Each student is individual and unique. They bring so much joy, energy, and creativity to school each day. Having short attention spans, sensory needs, and ADD/ADHD, my students love to move! Our school is a California Distinguished School. We have great parent and community support. We pride ourselves on student achievement, community involvement, student attendance, and our school staff. We are a family.

My Project

Having these Kore Wobble chairs in my classroom will let each of my students have a chair at their desk to use freely on a daily basis. We were not made to sit still all day as regular classroom chairs promote. The Kore Wobble chairs rock and spin on a gently domed base, encouraging active sitting and exercising the back. These chairs are tip over proof while encouraging movement and upright seating. Studies show that students who are encouraged to move while learning have a higher rate of retention and better concentration than when sitting in a regular chair.

These chairs will give each of my students the opportunity to move while working in the classroom which will help to promote good health, interest in learning, as well as the enjoyment of learning.

These chairs will provide great ergonomic support, which helps to collaborate with physical education activities. Active kids, are healthy kids. Please support my project of helping these students move while learning!
