Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

With school starting in the fall, many parents struggle purchasing back to school supplies. Having supplies for my students helps them come to school prepared and helps take some pressure off of parents. Many of the families in my school face financial struggles daily, therefore having supplies ready for my students gives their families' budgets a rest. Having supplies ready for my students will make transitions easy in the classroom. No more having to search for pencils or markers when they are already in the pencil box!

Providing my students with erasers and folders for Small Group and Homework papers will help my students stay organized and ready for each day.

Having these supplies will also teach my students about organization. Having my students come in the first day knowing they will have what they need to be successful is a great way to start the new school year!
