This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Distance learning really showed me how important having updated technology is in a classroom setting. My school desktop is old, and having an iMac and iPads that is able to keep up with and use the latest technology would be amazing and have the ability for me to add apps that they cannot access on DOE devices. A new desktop and iPads with cases and chargers and pencils would allow me to create engaging and interactive lessons that students would be able to participate in while also allowing for seamless transitions between platforms for navigation in the classroom environment.
The opportunity to utilize these tablets allowing my students to learn on apps that they normally don't have access to and use an updated iMac with browsers that are up to date will allow them to succeed in learning.
Headphones with mics will allow them to focus when on technology and the cd players will allow them access to materials we have on cd for new English language learners. Microphones will allow students to be heard who sometimes have difficulty projecting their voices. This is especially important to racially and economically diverse students who may not have access to this technology at home.
