This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is for basic classroom supplies to start the new school year. The supplies I requested are largely consumable. Students daily use tissues and enjoy hands on activities.

I love to make my students feel warm and welcomed when entering our school community and what better way to do so than to give them essential materials such as tissues.

My students are part of a diverse community of learners in a 6-8 Title I public school in Deep East Oakland, California. They are all from different backgrounds and have their own unique personalities, and I am excited to give them the opportunity to shine!

These materials will create a cozy environment, they can build an academic mindset by using the highlighters and notepads to take notes. The whiteboard markers and easel paper support collaborative learning with peers while personalizing them with the stickers. I like to have items that may support a positive learning environment and incorporate it into our daily routines and have them in the classroom where the learning is.
