My Students
Our class is comprised of diverse students who are inquisitive, ambitious, technologically savvy, and more importantly, hard-working. Despite the economic disparities they face on a daily basis due to the fact that they are from lower-income households, they exude a sense of pride, purpose, and a self determination to succeed at anything they're given to do. In short, they have grit. They're youngsters on the move!
My Project
My students are in desperate need of devices which can be transported to their homes and back to school. I have several students who live in multiple sibling households where they have to share devices. Many times, there are scheduling issues with them logging onto our live lessons because most of them are scheduled around the same time. With these devices, they will have an opportunity to participate with their peers instead of watching videos of taped lessons.
Our school normally has ample equipment, but all of it has been given to students.
