My students range from sophomores that have never lifted a weight to seniors that have a lot of experience weight training. Additionally I work with athletes that participate in all school sanctioned sports.
Due to Covid my students' health and education have been affected because they were unable to do any strength and conditioning during remote learning.
As a coaching staff we are finding we need to start students at a very basic strength training level.
With the addition of dumbbells, weights and bars more students would have access to the basic equipment for strength and conditioning.
My Project
This equipment will give more students equitable access to strength and conditioning equipment allowing them to increase their strength and fitness levels that were lost during remote learning. Our coaching staff has found students levels of fitness are now lower than they were before the Covid pandemic.
Students will use this needed equipment to start a basic level strength and conditioning program.
Because of Covid and remote learning most students didn't have equipment at home to strength train. By having additional equipment more students will be able to access the equipment and work towards an increase in both strength and fitness.
