Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a Title I school but have maintained high standards in our teaching practice to receive an A/B rating for the past 5 years and be recognized as an A+ school!
Our students will be exploring STEAM topics focusing on coding, engineering and robotics, and love to use technology to create and explore, but lack the exposure to the technology to create and share what they've learned.
We have a majority of staff and students well-trained in Kagan Engagement Structures and strive for innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
My Project
We are very fortunate to have our previous projects be funded by this organization and by our supportive district! We are asking for materials to help equalize the opportunities our students experience in the coding room.
The devices and materials are shared by many students at once and we are seeking help to ensure all students have adequate access to materials in the room.
As it stands we have groups that have to share materials with other groups which slows them down! We are looking to add to what we already have so that more students can reach their potential quickly in the coding room.
