Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Period products are frequent and expensive costs that many female students may not have the funds to afford. Our restrooms, unfortunately, are not stocked with period products, which leads to many young women running around to find pads, tampons, etc. Even the nurses and clinic do not always have these products available, and if they do, they are not comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
My goal in obtaining these products is to give my female students safe and reliable access to products that they need on a monthly basis.
Some of the products in my cart are also necessary to helping students with the pain and discomfort that they may feel during their period. For example, the heating pad will support with cramps and the body wipes will be helpful in ensuring students are taking sanitary measures for their bodies.
