Equitable Access for ELL Students to Engage in Reading!

Help me give my students language appropriate thematic books to build vocabulary and background thus supporting their success and engagement with their general education ELA content.

My Project

My ELL students are respectful and caring. In our school, I serve over 50 students daily who are just learning the English language. There are over 32 languages represented.

I serve 1st-4th grade EL students, the majority of whom are refugees new to the United States and just learning the English language.

My school and community have embraced our new students and we are so lucky to work with such caring families. I strive to provide a language rich environment that is both safe and academically appropriate for my students and am looking forward to these books and materials to enrich this process!
