My Project

The presence of functional equipment in athletic training facilities is indispensable for maximizing performance and minimizing injuries. From injury prevention through targeted exercises to rehabilitation and recovery protocols, these tools play a multifaceted role in supporting athletes throughout their journey. By investing in quality functional rehab equipment, sports programs can empower athletes to reach their full potential, both on and off the field, ensuring a sustainable and successful athletic career.

I am in a very special situation in the sense that I am trying to support my athletes by giving them the tools they need and I am trying to establish a student athletic training program in order to create a new generation of athletic trainers.

My position is fairly new and therefore supplies and budgets are limited. Our space is also very limited! The shelving in my project would give us some needed storage for things that do not fit into cabinets, like our coolers and crutches. It would also give us somewhere to hang up our heat pack covers to dry.

The rolling coolers and nozzles would help to replace some of the equipment we have that needs upgrades. All of our water coolers leak around the nozzles, which is a huge problem for our gym sports! Our current rolling cooler is missing a wheel and because of that it has to be carried instead of rolling.

The standing desk would be perfect to use next to the treatment tables for athletes to keep supplies on and our Chromebook for our sign in station.

Funding my project would help me stretch my budget even farther with other supplies we need.
