My Project
To ensure a smooth and organized start to the school year, I am requesting several essential items for our classroom: a cell phone charging station and cell phone holder to help students manage their devices responsibly from day one; Chromebook chargers as backups for students who may forget theirs; USB flash drives for saving and transferring digital assignments; a button maker to motivate and recognize students who achieve MOS certifications; labels for postcards so I can quickly send positive notes and academic updates home; and Lysol wipes to keep our shared computers clean and promote a healthy environment. These resources will directly support student learning by removing technology barriers, promoting responsibility, and allowing all students—regardless of background or resources—to participate fully in class activities. In line with our new school cell phone policy, we plan to use the charging station and holder to ensure phones are securely stored and inaccessible during instructional time, minimizing distractions and maximizing focus. Our classroom is made up of a diverse group of students with a wide range of experiences and needs, so providing equitable access to technology and consistent routines is vital for student engagement, achievement, and a sense of belonging in our learning community.
Having these resources at the beginning of the year will set clear expectations for technology use, streamline classroom routines, encourage participation, and create a safe, supportive environment where every student can succeed.
