Equipped and Ready: Supplies for AVID Students!

Help me give my students pencils, sharpener, hot glue sticks and other essential classroom supplies to stay organized, focused, and creative as they start a successful AVID school year.

My Project

As we end one school year, teachers are already planning and preparing for the next—even knowing there is no school budget for supplies. That’s why projects like this are so important. My 7th grade AVID students are creative, curious, and motivated to succeed. They work hard on both academic and real-world projects that help them grow as learners, leaders, and future college students.

This project will provide essential supplies like pencils, paper, markers, glue, glue sticks, dry erase markers, and an electric pencil sharpener—items that are used daily but often run out quickly.

A glue gun and glue sticks will also help with larger, hands-on projects we use in AVID to support college and career readiness, as well as service learning and leadership skills.

Throughout the year, students complete a variety of class projects that include college research, career posters, community outreach ideas, and organizational tools to support their success. These supplies will give them the resources they need to create high-quality work, collaborate, and stay prepared. Your support means students can focus on learning and expressing their ideas—without worrying if we have the basic tools to make it happen.
