Help me give my students a way to replenish our PE equipment that needs to be replaced because of wear and tear to continue to exercise while having fun.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My elementary school is filled with students who want to learn, grow, and improve themselves. They set academic, social and physical goals to help improve them as an individual to better their lives the best that they can. My students come from low-income families and from tough home lives. Because of their situations, they don't get to experience that many fun, inspirational activities. School is the place where we can help them have life long, unforgettable experiences.
You are capable of amazing things.
This is something we want students to know, that they can do and be anything as long as they keep trying.
My Project
We are working so hard in PE to learn the skills to keep being active and healthy. Our equipment is slowly deteriorating from all the wear and tear and we don't have the money to replace the items we use all the time. Replenishing this equipment will help us keep our dynamic physical education program going strong while keeping us moving our bodies to keep them healthy and strong as well. The skills and concepts we teach through the use of fun and exercise with various equipment are skills these students can use for their entire lives.
More than half of students from low‑income households
