I teach PE at an urban school. The students come from all parts of the district to be here. My students are creative, artistic and innovative.
Our schools theme is the arts (music, dance, and art) and is going to be an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program school.
My students are looking to take chances on new opportunities to grow and become a global problem solvers. Many do not have the opportunity to learn physical/health/ outside of Physical Education class.
My Project
At our school, we believe our children are global learners, innovative thinkers, and enthusiastic activists. We have created a unique, enriching environment to help our students learn. One piece of the puzzle that makes up our school is Physical Education.
My goal as an educator is to encourage the importance of a healthy mind and body.
I believe all students should have access to goals, balls and sticks. Our school is currently bursting at the seams and I do not have enough supplies for an entire class to use. The more basketballs and soccer balls I have, the more time kids can spend using them instead of waiting for their turn.
