This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our student athletes come from neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn and face a variety of obstacles. We support individuals with academic study halls and one to one conferences. Our team foundation is built on the habits of communication, a growth mindset, punctuality, organization, and effort. Our student athletes consistently show improvement in their GPAs and school attendance as well as improving dramatically on the basketball court. Our goal is that by the time our team members graduate they are high character, college ready individuals.

My Project

Donations to this project will help supply our JV and Varsity teams with off court training sessions. Gym space is limited throughout the year and even during the season. We want to continue the work we do to improve strength, skills, habits, and teamwork year round in a variety of spaces.

These resources will be used by our team for strength, conditioning, and basketball skill work development.

With your help we won't be restricted by the basketball court time and can instead organize meaningful team workouts throughout the year. We plan to use the variety of equipment to create circuit training stations involving basketballs, weights, jump ropes, and various agility exercises.
