Equip Our Classroom With Headphones for Mastery Learning

Help me give my students a Modern Classroom Project Classroom where students engage in personalized, video-based learning at their own pace, focusing on mastery. We need 20 headphones, plus extras for sanitization, to enhance this innovative approach.

My Project

In our Modern Classroom Project Engineering Classroom, students take control of their learning through personalized, video-based instruction that I create. This innovative approach is similar to a flipped classroom, allowing students to learn at their own pace and focus on mastering the material rather than just passing a test. It also allows me to work with them one-on-one or in small groups as needed.

To fully implement this pedagogy, we need a classroom set of 20 comfortable headphones that students can use with their Chromebooks to listen to recorded lessons while in class.

We’re also seeking an additional set of headphones to ensure proper sanitation. We have an ultraviolet sanitizer to clean the headphones between uses, but having twice as many will allow us to rotate and sterilize them effectively.

Last year, my students were excited about the potential of this approach, and many of them will be returning to continue their journey toward mastering the engineering curriculum. I’m eager to see how this new method will help them excel.
