This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many innocent people lost their lives in order for everyone to live and experience this famous phrase - "All men are created equal"

My students are high poverty, but eager to learn, young adults who have little exposure to financial literacy and economics education.

They are middle school students who have very little exposure to the importance of understanding how and why financial education is important.

My Project

By using a portable speaker and iPad mini with protective cover, I will be able to use many different civil rights curriculum that offers downloads of specific lessons (such as "biographies of Martin Luther King Jr. or Rosa Parks"), to educate and inspire students to learn about the civil rights movement and responsibility we have to keep the dream alive. I can download the curriculum to the ipad and play for all students, current and future, on the speaker.

With your generous donations, my students will have a tablet to gain access to online databases that are filled with diversity and civil rights movement journals, articles, and crucial information to use for their reports and essays.

They will also be able to listen to their book on cds and read biographies of important people that helped to shape the United States on our requested portable speaker.
