My team of students is currently piloting a blended learning style, which combines both personalized learning and self-pacing within the classroom.
Our students are lucky enough to be apart of this amazing opportunity which allows them to have 1:1 Chromebook devices.
Students that are involved in our pilot will be the first group that will be able to enter our Innovation Academy within our community that opened this Fall. The ability to bring this blended-style learning to our community is something that will change the way our community stakeholders view teachers, teaching, and student's learning.
Our goal is to encourage and enhance each student's educational opportunity through blended-learning while providing them opportunities to build their 21st Century Skills.
My Project
With the opportunity to have these iPads within my classroom students that I have both in-person and virtually will be able to engage in our daily lessons. I plan on using a few of these devices for live streaming lessons to students at home, while others will be used to enhance our learning while we are physically within our building. Students will use the iPads for daily tasks to dive deeper into their standards while at school, so they are more confident to continue their learning on the days they aren't at school.
iPads will also be available to students who might need them while learning from home, such as if they are quarantined to home and need a way to watch our Live Stream Lessons.
Donors that are giving to this project are giving students a chance to bridge the learning gap while they aren't able to be physically in class. Through this project, I hope to provide my students with equal opportunities to build their knowledge base and provide them the best educational experience possible during this unprecedented time.
