Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has been recognized in our district for closing the gaps in our students learning! We have multiple programs that connect our school and help us work together to make each other great! We are a Title 1 school and every child receives free breakfast and lunch each day. I have a classroom of 20 amazing 2nd grade learners of all abilities! A third of my class consists of students who speak a language other than English at home.

My Project

In today's current pandemic, distance learning is crucial! My students do not have access to devices they can effectively utilize to engage in online learning. While programs are in place for basic needs and supplies, additional resources are need to further their ability to learn at home. Our district has free WI-FI for our students but not enough devices for every child! Please help me give my students access to books and other online content, so their learning doesn't stop while we keep everyone safe during the COVID -19 crisis. Chromebooks will put unlimited books in their hands and access to a range of learning opportunities in all subject areas.
