At PATHS you will transform your creativity into real skills that will enhance your self-esteem and challenge your thinking.
As a school of choice, we serve a student population diverse in age, gender, race, and cultural background.
Students are provided the opportunity to obtain entry-level skills enabling them to enter the job market or pursue post-secondary education.
We work in together with students, parents, partner schools and the community to promote and develop educational excellence. The programs at PATHS are continuously modified to reflect business and industry needs of the region and incorporate the changing technology of the modern world. We use applied learning to ensure that all students acquire essential skills and knowledge in their chosen occupational areas. In all of our programs, we are committed to promoting self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, team building and responsibility.
My Project
Students will be learning the process for measuring accurately, cutting wood to specific sizes to be used in molds. We will be doing math and design to figure out how to fit the designs in the molds. Students will be calculating liquid measurement to create a formula to pour the proper amount of epoxy in each mold. We will be creating original designs and making some epoxy designs to mount on wooden boxes we will be creating.
If we need to go remote the students will be able to assemble the jewelry and boxes at home.
We hope to sell some of the products we make and use the profits to buy the students sweatshirts with the class logo on them.
