This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sensory tools create a more inclusive and supportive environment. Students whose sensory input need is met are able to focus, engage and succeed in classroom lessons. Students need access to a variety of sensory tools to find the one that best helps to regulate their personal senses.
Sensory regulation is crucial for students with conditions like autism, ADHD, or sensory processing disorder, who may struggle with processing sensory information.
This project will bring more sensory items to the classroom.
We have been using the same sensory items for the last year and a half. It is time for us to throw out the old kinetic sand or playdoh. New items will helps us meet our sensory needs.
