My Students

We have a building full of students who are actively seeking new ways to learn. It is important to get our parents involved with all the students to encourage learning. Our community is small and rural, and our school is considered a Title I School. All students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Each year, the students who enter my class are like a new puzzle to put together. I am always excited to learn new ways to engage these students and encourage learning.

I am always looking for ways to reach out and assist students in anyway I can.

This year I made it a goal to integrate technology and STEM items in the classroom to change the ways students learn. With the assistance from the school librarian, we would like to put up an Epic Lego Wall for all students at our school to explore! We want the students to explore and be creative!

My Project

We want to encourage our students to learn! We want students to be creative and use STEM concepts while at school. What better way to let the students learn than through a lego wall in the school library. This project will allow all students at our school, 3rd through 5th grade to explore and be creative during library time.

Think, create, fun, this "Epic Lego Wall" will allow students to do all three, plus much more!

It offers students a sense of adventure. We are also expressing the need for communication and collaboration among the students. It is important to bring STEM concepts during related arts time!

It is time to stop having students sit at a table while waiting in turn to check out a book during media center. Let the students create and go on a lego adventure, while other students are checking out library books! It is a win-win for all!
