My students are excited to come to school each day and to learn from one another. They enjoy working in collaborative groups and sharing their knowledge with each other. They enjoy using their critical thinking skills to evaluate new information and integrating the arts to show their learning. They get very excited any time we can use technology in the classroom and they aren't afraid to try something new.
Jane Goodall once said, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.
What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make." With this quote in mind, I want to help my students become aware of the impact they are having on the world around them.
My Project
The Osmo Creative Set encourages kids to think creatively and builds their confidence through hands-on play. Through this add-on, students help their furry orange friend, Mo, create his next story. Students are able to draw something that then comes to life and magically becomes part of Mo’s world.
Watching their drawings come to life will inspire my students to create new solutions to problems.
Let's face it, we need our youngest generation thinking about how to protect our environment. We need their ideas, their enthusiasm, and their creativity. By incorporating the 6 requested Osmo Creative Sets into our rotation stations, students will be able to try out their ideas and see how they interact with Mo. I am also requesting 4 additional sets of Yoobi makers to use as replacements as needed.
I am excited to see what solutions my students will create through this project. How will they solve the plastic water bottle problem? Will they find a better way to recycle paper? With Osmo Creative Sets, not only will Mo know how students will protect the environment, but he will help them see their ideas come to life.
