My students need materials to learn about the environment and how to take care of it.
This project expired on July 27, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I would like for my classroom to reflect my personality. I want the students to feel like they belong in there, and I want them to feel at ease in my classroom. I like to decorate my classroom for the different seasons, and my students love to help with this. I want my students to want to come to school and enjoy learning.
I teach in a small middle school located in a very rural area.
Most kids in our school fall below the national poverty line. I teach self-contained special education with a small class size of 8 students. All of my students are learning at a different level from the others in the classroom. I have students in wheelchairs and students with behavior issues. My students are very active in the school. They like to help out the faculty, and they love to keep the school clean. They are a fun bunch and deserve materials to further their education.
I would use the various books about weather, recycling, etc to teach the students about the environment and how we as a population can help take care of it.
Students will learn about climate change and how the weather is affected by the climate.
Students will also learn about the different seasons and why we have these seasons.
I would like to use the water filtration kit to show students how water is affected and how filtration keeps water clean. I would use different water from different sources to complete this project to prove that water is different and needs to be taken care of.
