My Students
My 4th grade classroom is full of beautiful children eager to learn and eager to experiment. My students come to school everyday with smiles on their faces ready for whatever I have in store for them.
My students are full of life and hunger for learning.
Most of my students come from a low income home with only one adult in the household. When my students come to school they get to see another adult (me) which they know loves then very much. There are many days that end with students asking and begging if they can stay after school with even if it's just for a little while because they don't want to face the unexpected when they get home. Sometimes school can be the best and safest location for these children. Please help me reach them further by grasping their interest with this project and helping make a difference in their lives.
My Project
My students need environmental science kits, including, Clean Water Science, Weather Station, and 3M Green Science. My students will be using the environmental science kits around April in celebration of Earth Day. We will be completing an entire unit on how humans positively and negatively affect the earth. We will explore all affects in dept and students will use the science kits as a more physical and visual picture to help fully understand these changes that humans may cause. By the end of the unit not only will students have a full understanding of the affects of humans, but they will also have a full understanding of what they can do to help change the negatives affects to positive affects!
I believe that this project will make a difference in my students lives because it gives them opportunity and it's realistic.
My students will be able to take this experience and apply it to their own lives and hopefully they will share the information they've learned from research and using the science kits and pass it on to others so that our earth can become a better safer and cleaner place.
