Help me give my students materials to enhance their learning in STEM. My students will have an opportunity to dabble in learning more about the environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our project, with your contribution, we will be able to acquire an incubator and brooder, which will serve as invaluable tools in our exploration of the environment.
These resources will allow us to hatch and raise chickens or quails who will end up in a family ranch, providing students with a hands-on understanding of life cycles, animal behavior, and the delicate balance of ecosystems.
Furthermore, our students will engage in fascinating studies through the examination of owl pellets and the exploration of the rock cycle. By dissecting owl pellets, they will gain insights into the dietary habits of birds of prey and the intricacies of food webs. Additionally, through the observation and analysis of the rock cycle, students will develop a deeper understanding of geological processes and the formation of the Earth's surface.
To document their discoveries and reflections, each student will maintain an observation journal. These journals will serve as personal repositories of learning, allowing students to record their observations, hypotheses, and reflections throughout our environmental studies.
