My Students
Our school strives to provide our children with the highest quality education so that they have access to all of the wonderful opportunities the world has to offer. My students are eager to learn and deserve to have the world at their fingertips. These children come from challenging home lives with limited opportunities. They have the right to a classroom equipped with all the necessary tools and resources.
I am committed to ensuring that every child who enters my classroom will be supported as they begin their educational journey to becoming life-long learners and empathetic, responsible, contributing members of the community.
My Project
The majority of children that attend my school come from low-income, impoverished homes. Many of them live in small, crowded homes because that is all their hard working families can afford. I've been in so many classrooms that are bland, boring, and run-down, making it difficult for students to focus and demotivating to come to school. These children deserve to attend a school that feels like their home away from home.
It is a priority to me to create a classroom environment that is so tranquil, inviting and peaceful that my students won't want to leave.
This project is asking for air purifying live plants, a small fountain, a cozy blanket, and reusable totes for their books. I've carefully selected each of the materials to ensure I have the most welcoming and home-like classroom the students have ever been in. I want to create a safe space that calms their minds and provides these young scholars a retreat from their very challenging home lives.
