My Project

Throughout my time working with students I have noticed how their classroom is set up predicts their mentality with academics and the school environment. When I started to change the classroom and add things like curtains, spare clothes that were being given away, and a coffee machine I saw a change.

My students went from kids in school to future young adults in the community starting to transition out of school.

By having a different world that connects school and community the students valued the room and themselves more. I am hoping the next step on my personal project is to get desks/tables for them that are more age appropriate. By doing this it will create a better climate in the classroom as well as the environment for my students to thrive and grow into responsible adults.
