Students in my Entrepreneurship class are always eager to apply real world learning the minute they leave the classroom. These students take what they learn in class and immediately go out into the world to make it better.
Learning to start your own business can be daunting, and these students like a challenge.
These students like to create and innovate new products and ideas in their entrepreneurship class.
The students in Foundations of Business are eager to try new learning processes that will help them remember the content and create real-world opportunities for them. Students in my classroom come from many backgrounds. Students in this class come from broken homes, stable homes, and we even have a few students who are learning to live on their own. That is why this class is of such value to them. About 30% of the students are on free or reduced lunches. We are an open enrollment school, so students also come from varying neighborhoods. It is important for students to learn how to budget no matter what area the live in.
This class will help students take action in their own lives and create opportunities from the resources provided to them!
My Project
Our experiential education model instills entrepreneurial and economic principles built for prosperity. Our business class helps students to transform mindsets, and empowering students to chase the opportunities that surround them. One of the most transformational aspects of the my class experience is Market Day.
Students in my class have the opportunity to set up their own POP UP Business for a day and earn cash on the business they create.
A majority of students have asked to create a personalized tshirt and product shop. These printers will allow for students to create their products and sell them on Market Day.
