Yes, this describes my student population! I teach art education to over 420 students per week. As an educator, I am always on a quest to teach my students skills that will help them both in school and in life beyond. We love discovering innovative ways to connect art to other subjects and to create a safe and caring environment in our classroom for all students.
My Project
My students need an MacBook Pro laptop to assist them to be 21st-century ARTSmart learners as they use it to explore a myriad of online sites to explore the science and the art of entomology, Mother Nature's finest! It is so important for our students to be current, up to date, and ready with 21st-century skills so that they can be competitive with the world.
How exciting it will be to learn about insects by viewing authentic examples of bugs encased in plastic, to see their parts and colors, while cross learning via the internet exploring insect videos and drawing tutorials?
Help our students grow and learn by helping them to connect virtually with the myriad of opportunities that a Macbook Pro can bring to their education, connecting curriculums of science and art.
We need technology! We need a Macbook Pro, the best computer for integrating science and art into learning. We need to teach our students to be scientists, and a Macbook Pro laptop will bridge our journey of discovering the importance of insects in our world!
Keeping current and up to date with technology nurtures and provides our students with a multitude of opportunities to explore the web, both in small and large group instruction. And studying insects, both real and virtually, will hopefully bring a lifetime of interest to the importance of the role insects play in our world. My students will love seeing the beauty of real insects, so cool.
