This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching Spanish to first grade is exciting. Having additional materials to share at home will keep them engage not only at school but at home too. My students will be excited to strive to read independently. My goal is to encourage my students to read fluently by the end of the year. Scholastic Magazines are colorful, interesting, and encourage new curiosity. I want my first graders to be eager to question and excited to write. Having their own Scholastic Magazine all year with many different topics will encourage students to want to learn.
