My students need a rug they can sit on that will create a more inviting and comfortable reading area. This rug will give them a designated reading space that makes them excited to read!!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Allow me to introduce my innovative students to you. They are a very vibrant bunch who are excited about learning. They are also some of the most hard-working students I know. They're always so willing to accept the challenges of high expectations, performing, and engaging in the processes of learning. Every time they come to school, they have smiles on their faces and you can tell that they are just genuinely happy to be at school.
As an educator, this has been one of the most encouraging things that makes me love teaching even more.
Did I mention that our students are hard workers! In our Kindergarten class, the students have to accomplish learning in a variety of ways. They accomplish a lot of movement and hands-on activities that allow them to learn at their optimal level. They respectfully get to work and work hard to accomplish what's been given to them. They take learning seriously, but they are also so free to have fun while doing it!
My Project
My project includes a decorative rug with an awesome tree surrounded by books. I want to create a designated reading area where my students feel welcomed and excited to sit and read in this space. This area will be used as apart of a reading rotation center where they will come sit, pick a book and do silent reading and on occasion partner read.
Students will also select a book at their reading level and sit comfortably while they practice reading independently.
the rug provides a concrete sitting area for them to dive into reading while being inspired by the tree house print on the rug to sit on the tree and read!
