This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The nurse's office in our school serves as a sanctuary for students who find themselves in need of medical attention, emotional support, or a quiet place to recover from various ailments. This space is fundamental to the overall well-being of our students, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it is equipped to meet the diverse needs of those who visit. However, one area that requires immediate attention is the availability of hygiene and comfort items, particularly sanitary pads, tampons, extra underwear and leggings.

Hygiene is a fundamental aspect of our well-being, and access to basic hygiene products is a matter of dignity.

In the case of female students, access to sanitary items is not merely a matter of convenience but a necessity. It is our duty to provide the means for female students to maintain their personal hygiene and dignity during their stay in the nurse's office.

Moreover, a visit to the nurse's office can be an emotionally challenging experience for students, and providing a comfortable environment can help alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with such visits. A welcoming, comfortable space equipped with essential comfort items can create a sense of security and care, reinforcing the message that we are dedicated to our students' overall well-being.

Ensuring access to these items and creating a comfortable environment in the nurse's office is not just a matter of convenience. It is a statement of our commitment to the health and well-being of our students. Your support will not only meet the immediate needs of our students but also help create a more caring and nurturing environment in the nurse's office, where students can feel comfortable and supported during their time of need.
