Enrichment Activities for Adaptive Library Class

Help me give my students supplemental activities such as animal counters, picture book series, books with sounds, flash cards and vehicle-related activities to keep them engaged during their library time.

My Project

While many of my students are able to sit for library lessons as well as participate in corresponding activities, for many it is a struggle.

Having high interest enrichment activities would help to keep my adaptive library class interested and excited about visiting the school library.

Items such as animal and dinosaur math counters can be used for sorting and counting activities as well as creative play. Having a bin of Peter the Cat books would be especially appealing as they adore Pete the Cat. Vehicle-related items are often requested and would help with social skills as they play together and practice sharing. In addition to promoting social skills and being educational, these activities are just plain fun and would help foster a love of library, and hopefully books too.
