This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a middle school English Language Arts teacher, it is so important for my students to be able to access technology to enhance their learning opportunities.

Most of my students do not have access to technology or the Internet at home.

Their parents are working class and try their best to make ends meet. The majority of my students come from a minority background. Our school is brand new and we are trying to provide a quality education for our students in a high-poverty location.

My Project

We would use the laptops to create interactive presentations, type essays, and research various types of resources for our projects. Since I will be teaching language arts "enrichment" this year, I will have a smaller class size and be able to use the laptops more efficiently. This year, students will be able to access their textbooks online and we will be able to "close" read our texts and interact with the compatible tools and games that correlate with the text.

My students' learning experiences will be enhanced one hundred fold with this generous donation.

Most of my students do not have the ability to utilize technology at home, so this gift will make their minds expand and who knows what they will be able to accomplish?
