This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the opportunity to work with some of the school's hardest kiddos, and some of the strongest leaders. They all need attention and opportunities to shine. In groups, we work on better understanding ourselves, our school, and the greater community. We create art to hang up around campus to share our learnings with others.

It is truly a win for all students when we are able to focus on building community and SEL.

When kids grow, they often share their transformation with classmates, on the playground, and in their community.
