Enriching Students to Thrive in the 21st Century!

My Students

A typical day in my classroom starts with a breakfast for each child and a story to share. My students are very inquisitive, active, and eager to absorb information. They are always asking questions and excited when they are able to find the answer on their own. My goal is for each child to feel successful in his/her own learning style.

They are so excited for each new adventure we go on as well as any new task I put before them.

They are like sponges and want to take in as much as they can. They love to work as a group and figure things out. I love to lead them to understanding a concept and then witness their expression when they realize they understand. My children love to interact with one another and use cooperative learning to obtain a goal.

Our school is a place where we make each child feel loved, safe, and successful. We are considered a high poverty, low-income school. A majority of our children are on free or reduced-price lunch. Our entire school is offered a free breakfast.

My Project

The donation of 2 iPad minis to my classroom will allow us to explore our world beyond the walls of our classroom. A majority of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, which has limited their experiences outside of the classroom and use of technology.

We will use our iPads for scientific inquiry and discovery as we study organisms and their environments, plants, and life cycles.

In reading, iPads will supplement reading goals through fun and interactive programs, such as Seesaw. Our iPads will provide differentiated instruction for struggling students, as well as for students who need an extra challenge!

The possibilities are endless when we have technology at our fingertips!
