Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year I want to provide an opportunity for my students to start earning points in the Accelerated Reader Program. Students read, take quizzes, and earn points. Those students who meet their goals are rewarded by being invited to a celebration. We do not have computers in our classroom making it difficult to provide them the opportunity to complete quizzes when they are ready to do so.
We also have a magnet curriculum where we will be learning about Japan.
With these computers, students will be able to work collaboratively on Japanese research projects.
