Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars are students who love to learn. They love coming to school, where there is so much love and consistency. My scholars come from an area of extreme poverty. Teaching in an area of poverty means coming up with great resources is that much harder. I do not want our lack of resources to hold them back. They are truly deserving of an enriching education. Funding this project will make a huge impact on my scholars here in New Orleans!

My Project

My students need games and activities that support their education. My scholars are so young, and I have realized that they learn best when they are hands on. Learning is not a one size fits all. My students need chances to learn the material in various ways. The selected items will give my scholars the chance to do so. Working in a low income school, resources are limited. I want my scholars to have as many resources as their peers around the country have. Supporting my project will change the lives of my students here in the inner city. They are so deserving!
