Enriching Leveled Classroom Library

Help me give my students access to a range of books, that will meet their needs and their interests. Students will have a library to borrow from to read in and out of school!

My Project

The reading ability of my students range from preK to beyond 2nd. I encourage all of my students to read daily - not just in school, but at home as well. Since many of my students are at the early stages of reading, they need books that will interest them and be at their reading level. I also need a range of books so that once students "graduate" from one level, they can move on to another!

This is the first year that some of my students have EVER been in school.

It made me so happy to hear one of those students say to me, "I learned how to READ today!" It shocked me that my students were aware of their own abilities and skill levels. It reminded me of how much all of my students want to LEARN! They also need to feel confident in what they can do.

So, although not all of my students are reading on grade-level, I want ALL of my students to have access to a range and a variety of books, which they can read. By filling my shelves with these books, my students will continue to grow and learn to LOVE reading!
