This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Library classes at MTES are packed with read-alouds, book talks, thematic literary lessons, and independent reading time.

Though the focus is literacy and fostering a love of reading, students also have the opportunity to flex their creativity through open-ended play at a variety of STEAM-related centers.

These kits will allow our library to expand our center options as well as provide levelled activities for students from Pre-K through 4th grade. These activities not only spark creativity but support the development of fine motor skills, spatial awareness, problem solving, and logical thinking.
