My Project
The opportunity to express oneself in a multitude of ways, whether through social or academic experiences, has become more encouraged in education. I have the honor in teaching six brilliant students who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. In order to allow my students to choose what and how they want to express their knowledge, I rely on the need for specific supplies to help me do so.
An easel and sensory tools such as, sensory mats, weighted lap pad, sensory beads and tools to build, will provide my students with a greater chance to learn needed skills, as well as, give them needed time to explore their feelings through various ways of expression.
Containers will allow myself to create these opportunities to engage in activities and to increase in independency of having responsibilities.
My students arrive to school ready to learn and interact in all forms of learning. Their eagerness pushes me to work harder for them. Please help me to help my students continue to grow into amazing community members.
