My students require additional supports in order to effectively engage with academic and functional content. These materials would offer my students a better chance to successfully interact with daily class activities that best address their needs and extend their learning. While whole group learning is important, using headphones during individual learning will enhance what is taught throughout the day to individualized learning centers on the computer. Headphones not only block out other noises, but also provide students more student centered ways of learning. In addition, practicing identifying writing and saying words can help enhance student communication skills.
