My Project
At Ala Wai Elementary, we are working on creating inclusive and diverse learning spaces for all of our students. We recently developed a Newcomer Center where our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment to help international students and families transition to a U.S. school.
The flexible seating furniture, microphones, and learning materials allow us to create a comfortable and engaging space for students to learn and receive additional services throughout the school day.
We are continuously helping our multilingual students find their voice in their new envinroment. We are in need of some micorphones so our students' beautiful voices can be heard. We truly value the power of their voice and know they have so much to share with the world.
