My students need mediation pillows and adaptable LED lighting to promote a calm and relaxing atmosphere during scheduled parts of the day to decompress and refocus.
My students are all part of a school that has all students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Everyday they are exposed to unique challenges and require a dynamic classroom to meet all of their needs. A typical day has students working academically and growing both socially and emotionally. My students greatest needs are to improve their abilities in all aspects of their education for them to transition.

My Project
I am asking for ten mediation pillows and adaptable LED lighting. These materials will be used to create a classroom that is able to set the classroom mood using dynamic lighting that is able to change color. The color can be used to influence a mood in a classroom, it can communicate nonverbally with students the expectations in the classroom, and be used as a method promote self-regulated behaviors through mediation in the classroom.
My students have documented behavior concerns and require a unique approach towards gaining the ability to regulate their emotions and behaviors within an academic setting.
Using the dynamic lighting within the classroom provides the teacher with more resources to utilize within the classroom to help all students achieve their behavioral goals.
