This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I use Visuals and Modeling purchasing through Teachers Pay Teachers for my students who are brand new to the country. I can write directions with a visual, which is helpful for all students and can help them stay on track when thinking independently. AA newcomers might only comprehend a small part of the directions when you give them verbally, but they will be able to understand more as they review the visual and writing tips. In addition, graphic pictures can help students to learn new Vocabulary. Furthermore, buying a newcomer packet through teachers will help them practice basic Vocabulary. A newcomer student needs to participate in most of the activities that the rest of the class engages in through differentiation. It is also essential for them to learn basic English vocabulary to communicate. Have one or two responsible students work with the newcomer student as a peer tutor. The peer tutor can play a vocabulary game, read a book, or review the directions for essential vocabulary practice.
